PAYMENT

For your convenience we accept cash, checks (on local banks only), or money order.  You may also pay by debit card at the Ashland City office.  (There is a processing fee of $2.50 if you use a debit card.)

CONFIDENTIALITY OF RECORDS

Public records maintained by the County Clerk are open for inspection unless specifically made confidential by statute.  The gross receipts of a business are one example of a confidential record.  Also, under most conditions, motor vehicle records are confidential as stipulated in T.C.A. 55-25-104 et al.

DRIVER LICENSE

BIRTH CERTIFICATES/DEATH CERTIFICATES

The County Clerk's Office does not maintain birth or death records.  The State of Tennessee Department of Health, Office of Vital Records keeps these documents.  Visit their website at http://health.state.tn.us
