Animal Control is a Certified Animal Control Agency under The State of Tennessee Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners - State Health Department. We address domestic, wildlife, and livestock calls. The program operates in a variety of areas in order to meet the needs of the community:

The shelter is staffed with two Animal Control Officers, one Clerk/Receptionist, and the Director. The shelter has many volunteers that assist in a variety of selected areas.
The shelter works closely with Cheatham County Animal Awareness in the areas of adoptions, animal health, rescues, and transfers. The shelter also has a working relationship with other Animal Control Agencies, Walden's Puddle Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and several Veterinary Clinics in the Middle Tennessee area.
