You can call Cheatham dispatch 24/7 at (615) 792-2098 and request a deputy to call you or come to your location. The dispatcher may ask you what the call is in reference to so they can enter it into their system.
The Sheriff’s Office will not confirm to someone who calls if they have a warrant. We can’t confirm the person calling is the person wanted. We will ask the person to come to the office and present valid identification.
If we know your court date we will give it to you by calling (615) 792-4341, however, if you have already been arrested and do not know when your next court appearance is, you should call General Sessions Court at (615) 792-4866
After your vehicle accident it usually takes three to five days before a copy will be available. The report has to be reviewed and approved by sheriff supervisors before it is entered into the report management system. Please call 3-5 days after your accident at (615) 792-4341
We will take your fingerprints but you must call and make an appointment first by calling (615) 792-4341. We only fingerprint citizens during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and no holidays. Fingerprinting fee: $5.00
Yes, if the person is incarcerated and the bond has been entered into our system, we will tell you the bond amount; however, we will not give you advice on a bonding company to use.
Yes and no. If the sheriff is in a meeting or out of the office, you can request to speak to the Chief Deputy or other supervisor. We would prefer you call the sheriff’s office at 615-792-2041 and make an appointment with the sheriff’s assistant. If he is in the office and can see you, he will but an appointment is recommended.
